So Big!!

My oh my how time flies baby boy! You are getting soooo big! Everyday you are discovering new things to do and say! (you are quite the talker my love, wonder where you get that from???) "Sooo Big!" is a fun game you play with your Mimi everyday, Mimi holds up your arms and says "soo big!" and you just smile and laugh and pull Mimi's arms to do it again and again! You are now eating three meals a day of baby food! Peaches and peas are you absolute favorite, which Mommy just thinks is crazy because Mommy cannot understand why anyone would like peas, let's just hope you don't like green jello either! You love your highchair and get very excited when Mommy puts you in it because you know what is coming. This is your "I'm ready to eat!" look

You have also discovered the joy that is your excersaucer! Let me just tell you how much you love this thing! When you see it you just start moving your legs and staring at it! You have discovered all the fun toys on it and Mommy's favorite thing you do in it is when you take out your paci and set in on the side, then you bounce, bounce, bounce, stop find the paci stick it back in and start bouncing again! You are very proud of yourself and that paci! The other day you were on your play mat you spied that silly old paci in the corner, rolled yourself over on your tummy grabbed the paci, rolled back on your back stuck it in and kept on playing! So smart!

This is your taking a break look!

For Christmas KK and Grandaddy got you a fun new play rug and bookshelf for your new playroom upstairs, that's right my love you are so big that you have graduated to playing upstairs in your very own playroom! We have been having so much playing together up there with all your new toys!

Everyday is a new discovery and adventure and I'm so grateful we are discovering them together!!

Your first Christmas! Part II

After all the excitement and fun in Ripley we got up early Christmas Eve morning and headed back to our house for more holiday fun! Christmas Eve was so special for Mommy because we had everyone at our house for the first time, well almost everyone we were missing our Uncle Pook and Aunti Shanti because they were at her house celebrating but don't worry we saw them the next morning!! So here came Mimi, Poppy, MawMaw and PawPaw to our house for yummy food and the start of sweet Christmas Eve traditions with you of course! MawMaw and PawPaw gave you a very special Christmas book with their voices recorded on it! Mommy just loved this very special present that we will read every Christmas Eve! Then Mommy read the Christmas story to you from the Bible (just like KK did for Daddy and Uncle Lee).

After our stories Mimi and Poppy gave us all our Christmas Eve jammies! Mimi and Poppy have always given Mommy and Uncle Pook Christmas Eve jammies and now we are continuing the tradition with you! Then it was time to lay out the milk and cookies for Santa!!

Christmas morning was here before we knew it! Especially for you and Mommy, we were up VERY early for your breakfast,I think you just knew this was a special day! And guess who came to our house in the middle of the night?? Santa!!! He left you a stocking full of goodies and a very cool race car track toy! How exciting! Meanwhile Daddy was packing up the car in the snow (that's right it was a white Christmas!!) to head over to Mimi and Poppy's house for Christmas breakfast! All of Mommy's favorite Christmas goodies were there and so were MawMaw, PawPaw, Uncle Pook and Aunti Shanti! We had such a wonderful time opening all our presents (that's right more presents!! It took us over three hours to open everything! Mommy's family likes to really savor the moment!)The day was just perfect because we got to share it with you! Mommy cannot wait for all the wonderful and magic Christmas memories we will make together!

This is just some of your loot!

Santa Baby!

It's was only Christmas morning but you were already tuckered out from all the excitement! Good thing you love Mimi's lap!

Already working on your own blog on your very own laptop!

Our wonderful family!

Best Christmas ever baby boy!!

Your first Christmas! Part I

Well my love your first Christmas was such an extravaganza that Mommy has decided to break it into two parts! All in all though it was the very best Christmas ever! We will start a couple of days before Christmas, Mommy and Daddy packed up the car and we headed west to Ripley! We had a great time visiting with KK, Grandaddy, Uncle Lee, Aunt Leigh and of course Ryan! Mommy loves watching you and Ryan together you all are so cute! You still think that Ryan is just hilarious! Here is a picture of you cracking up about what Ryan has to say!

And oh my goodness the presents!! You had quite the loot! Even Ryan bought you presents! It was so fun to be able to share your Daddy's Christmas traditions with you this year. We had steak one night for dinner (your Daddy's favorite!) and we even went to the Pizza Hut buffet for lunch (another one your Daddy's family traditions). The day before Christmas Eve we went to your KK's cousin's house for the big Christmas annual party! Mommy was so excited to show you off to everyone! And of course you were a hit!! Your cousin Evy was especially impressed with you, she even held you and shared her books with you! Here are the highlights from Christmas in Ripley

Your hat says "My first Christmas!"

Your first poem about you!!

What a sweet treat for you baby boy! One of Mimi's former pre-K kiddos (who is now a big fourth grader) wrote a poem just for you! Sweet Rachel thought your squash and apples video was so funny she had to write about it! And it is such a great poem!! Here it is, complete with illustrations!! How special!

Deck the Halls!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! It's your first Christmas and we are doing it up right my friend! Mommy and Daddy are so excited about your first Christmas, after driving all afternoon back from Ripley the first thing we did when we got home was get all the Christmas decorations out! Poor Daddy froze in the cold putting out our Christmas lights for all the neighbors to see! We had so much fun playing Christmas music and decorating the house, you love all the lights! In the evenings you and Daddy walk all around the house looking at the lights! Here are a couple of pictures:

Mommy is so excited about your super cute stocking! But the decking of the halls didn't stop at our house, we headed off to Mimi and Poppy's to help decorate their tree! This was so fun for Mommy because Mimi and Poppy's tree has all of my old ornaments, Mommy had such a great time going down memory lane while Daddy walked around with you, there were lots of lights to see! You even had your cereal there, everyone got a kick out of your very obvious enjoyment of food! Look how cute you look in your Santa bib!

This is your all time favorite thing to do right now, have Poppy walk you around the house! You L-O-V-E it! You have even started to notice when Poppy is not home, you just keep looking down the hallway towards the office waiting for him to come! It is just the sweetest thing ever, and I know it warms your Poppy's heart!

This is your special tree. MawMaw and PawPaw had a tree just like this for Mommy's first Christmas, and they saved all the ornaments so now it's on your first tree!

We are going to have so much fun this month! Mommy can't wait for all the memories we are going to make as a family!

Thanksgiving!

Another weekend of firsts! We celebrated your first Thanksgiving! Even though you didn't have any turkey you still had a great time visiting Daddy's family. On Wednesday we packed up the car and headed west, west Tennessee that is! That's right you had your very first trip to Ripley, where Daddy grew up! You even slept in your Daddy's old bedroom! Speaking of Daddy, you are lovin him right now! When you see him first thing in the mornings (usually on the weekends because we are still sleeping when poor Daddy heads off to work!) you just smile and smile! You and Daddy's favorite spot together is on the sofa watching ESPN. This has become your Saturday morning routine and you love it! So anyway we headed off for a big Thanksgiving celebration at your KK and Grandaddy's, even Ryan was there! KK and Grandaddy had so much fun with both of the "boys" being there! Here you are with Grandaddy and Ryan (I think you are trying to get Ryan's attention!)

On Thanksgiving morning we woke up to one of Mommy's most favorite things: the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!! We had so much fun watching all the big balloons and floats in our jammies of course!

That evening we all went to your Great Aunt Pam's and Great Uncle Rob's house for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner! Here you are in your turkey bib!

And this is you all tuckered out from the day's festivities!

Here is a picture of the whole group

Mommy is so thankful for you baby boy!!
